The Story

Inspiration

Based in a small market town in Lincolnshire, my workshop looks out on to open fields speckled with flaura and fauna.  Woodpeckers hammer in the background, small red deer can be spotted hiding in the groups of trees disturbed only by the heron swooping down the river to capture his prey.  Just ten miles from the Wash as the crow flies, I swear you can smell the sea on a clear, crisp day.

 With such a beautiful backdrop, my inspiration has been the scents of nature, combined with memories of my past, travels across the world recaptured in fragrance, evocative of happy times.

The Power of Fragrance

It is well known that scent has the power to transform mood, instantly cleansing the mind, calming one down and relaxing the mind and body, or providing a much needed energy boost.  We use a combination of high quality fragrance and essential oils to produce a range of candles and aroma pods which are as close to nature as possible. 

Fragrance has always been a feature in my life, and a lovely, fresh smelling home makes me happy.  Whilst working in a stressful job in the corporate world, coming home, lighting a scented candle and chilling with a glass of wine would instantly take me to a calm and happy place, despite the stress of life in the city.

I have been creating candles for over 10 years, initially as a hobby, and through teaching workshops, but after a breast cancer diagnosis three years ago, a long overdue wake up call led me to slow down and change my lifestyle.  

During treatment my little workshop became my haven, and over the past 18 months i have tested hundreds of candles and scents to select the perfect wax, wicks and fragrances for a range of luxury candles and melts.

The rest, as they say is history, and Jo Hannah Home Fragrance was born.
